I have been blessed to be able to photograph these kids for 3 years now and every time it is so much fun. I love watching them interact with each other, and watching their personalities come out at each new session. This fall they came to see me at my One Room Schoolhouse Studio, and they even brought their new pal Huck! Their super cute vintage inspired outfits were the best for our afternoon at the studio. Here are a few my favorite images from the session... enjoy!
Finally getting around to catching up on blogging some of the sessions that I did this summer and I am starting with this one... this family is amazing, I am truly blessed to call them my friends and I hope that you can see thru the images what a wonderful family they are. They have so much love for one another, and it just shines wherever they go. That sounds so cliche and just like something that everyone might write, but I am much better at pictures than words. My friend Sarah is the one with the beautiful words... but here are the images, I hope you can get just a glimpse of how special they are from my little point of view. Thank you Sarah, Tim, Mattie and Jonah for being fantastic friends, beautiful people, and for sharing with the world what love looks like!
I have known this family for what seems like a lifetime, and when Mike contacted me to let me know that he and Amanda were engaged I was super excited to get to photograph another wedding for this fun group of people. I photographed Amandas sister just last year and when Mike and Amanda asked me to photograph their big day I was thrilled. Their fall day was just gorgeous, full of love, family and joy (oh and a few mosquitoes... it is Michigan after all). Thanks to the Morrison and Konarske families for such a beautiful day to photograph. If you or someone you know is planning a wedding in Southeast Michigan or anywhere (I travel!) I'd love to hear from you.
Cari and Jason were married in an intimate little wedding at Zingermans Cornman Farms. It was a gorgeous Southeast Michigan day full of love, family, and the beautiful colors of Fall. I am blessed to have been able to photograph their gorgeous day. From the color of the leaves to the colors in the bouquets, the smell of the delicious food, the crackling campfire, to the bright orange and yellows of the pumpkins scattered around the property... it was Pure Michigan beauty at its best. Thank you Cari and Jason for having me, and thank you to Zingermans Cornman Farms for such a beautiful setting to work in. If you are looking at a having a wedding in Southeast Michigan or beyond (I travel!) and you would like to chat about what I can offer in capturing your day please contact me, I'd love to meet with you. I am now booking for 2015 and beyond. If you want to leave some love for the happy couple please leave a comment or two below. Thanks.
I have been photographing these lovely little ladies for 3 years now and it is so much fun watching them grow up. Ms. Ellie was just a little baby when we first met and I just love to see how big she and the other girls get every time I get to see them.
We did this session at my One Room Schoolhouse studio and it was a perfect fit for the vintage inspired Matilda Jane dresses that they wore. A little bit of vintage with a little bit of fun. So pretty. Mom even got in for a few images and I am so glad she did. They played ring a round the rosie with a twist ("we all fall down" turned into "we all spin around" so we didn't get the pretty dresses dirty).
Looking forward to the next time I get to see them!
If you are interested in scheduling a session for your Family contact me today! I'd love to hear from you.
I had the true honor last week of capturing something so special. Not that every shoot isn't special in it's way, but this one was truly one of my favorites. Great Grandfather and Great Grandkids. Generations. There was a timelessness about this shoot that I can't explain with words, from the way the light was shining down on them, or maybe it was the love between them, whatever it was, it was just beautiful, and I am so beyond blessed to get to capture these kinds of images for families. To know that the images that are being created are something that will be looked at for generations to come is a blessing, and I am so beyond amazed that I get to call this my job. Thank you Gilbert Family!
I love to photograph families and cousins, and these guys were no exception. We had a beautiful morning and some expert "Grandpa" help for the shoot this morning. There was fun, there were M & M's and there were great big kid helpers too. Thank you to the F and M families for the great morning! Enjoy your peek!
